We are committed to minimising the impact our operations have on the environment by reducing, re-using, recycling and repairing; and by providing a safe and healthy workplace.
The key points of our Sustainability & Environmental Policy are:
WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RECYCLING
We aim to reduce waste by reusing and recycling as much as possible. Non-organic items that can be reused are repaired or, if irreparable, safely disposed of. We avoid unnecessary printing and encourage invoices and statements to be sent and received electronically.
ENERGY/WATER CONSERVATION
Our premises are fitted with energy efficient appliances and, if not in use, lights, computers, air-conditioning and electrical equipment are fully switched off. Taps, pipes and cylinders are checked regularly for leaks.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PRODUCTS
We endeavour to purchase only environmentally friendly hygiene, cleaning and packaging products. All boxes, internal packaging and void fillers received from inwards goods are reused for packing outwards goods or recycled.
EMISSIONS CONTROL
All company vehicles are regularly maintained and only used when necessary to minimise fuel consumption. New and replacement company vehicles will meet better fuel efficiency performance.
As well as complying with the current legislation and regulatory requirements, our team actively seek new ways we can further reduce our environmental impact without compromising service. We continue to work in partnership with our suppliers and customers to promote good environmental practices and aspire to adhere to their own environmental policies.
